The perfect book to read on a rainy Sunday

I've tried so hard to get back into reading on a regular basis but I highly doubt that I'm going to read 20+ books by the end of the year. Not unless their children's books, ha.

The last book I read was Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon. Zoella is a You Tuber that I watch most weeks and found out that she mentioned this book during one of her videos (I'm pretty sure it was once part of her reading club.) I spotted this book in my local charity shop and seeing as it less than a £1, I couldn't really say no. Plus, I was taking it on holiday so I knew that I would have a bit of time to read it.

It's been a while since I read a YA book and I have to say they are my guilty pleasure, they're easy to read and they make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. The style of this book was very easy to read, a lot of pages weren't actually full top to bottom of sentences (if that makes any sense?) I also enjoyed the doodles that were dotted around on some of the pages. The chapters are also incredibly short which is something that I look out for with books because when I read at night, I don't have to hang around till the next chapter like when I do when I read books with larger chapters.

The story itself is pretty cute but I did work it out about 2/3 into the book. I even told my boyfriend about what I thought was going to happen, haha. The story focused mostly on the friend/relationship between to the characters and not so much on Maddy's disease SCID. I wasn't totally amazed by this book but I did enjoy it nonetheless. Nineteen minutes on other hand by Jodi Picoult completely blew me away.

Everything, Everything is more of a summer read, something that you would read by the pool on holiday or one that you would read on a Sunday afternoon if it's raining outside. It took me about a week to read but for all you bookworms out there, you could definitely read it one go.
