Blogging Four Years On

Thursday, 6 July 2017

Four years ago today, I opened up my laptop and created Kyla Delilah

Today marks my fourth year anniversary for my blog. If you had told me that four years ago today I would still be blogging four years on I would of probably laughed because I didn't really see myself doing it for more than four months but boy was I wrong. I'm still here on the same laptop blogging about the same old stuff - with a lot of new stuff thrown in as well.

A lot has changed since I started my blog, physically I'm still in the same place but in other aspects, I feel like I've grown so much. For starters, I'm a lot more happier. Like a lot more happier, I don't really have anything to be upset about now - apart from the fact that I was suppose to see Adele on the 2nd but she cancelled her last two shows due to medical grounds :( I would say that now I'm in the right frame of mind and couldn't be any more grateful for it. Financially, I'm a lot better of as well, back when I started my blog I didn't have a job and it wasn't to a year later that I finally did get a job and I've been earning ever since. Relationship wise, I'm completely different to how I started my blog. I don't really go into too much detail about that side of my personal life because I like to think I'm a private person and I don't really discuss too much of my relationship to many others. Friendship wise I'm a lot better off. When I did start this blog I was a bit of a loner, and I'm not even exaggerating, I didn't have any friends. I mean, there was people that I would talk to at college and stuff but if I ever had a major problem, I didn't have anyone to call about it. I think out of everything back then, the lack of friends was the hardest thing for me.

I also feel like as a person I've changed. Before, I hated waking up early, I use to go to bed very late, own a very messy bedroom but it's almost like everything;s flipped. I love waking up early, I like to take advantage of the day even if I don't do anything, I still like waking up early. As for the late nights, I can't even make it past 1 am now and even then I have to really try. As for being a messy person...I'm getting better but I am trying so that's the key thing here.

Blog wise, a lot has changed. How I write is *fingers crossed* is slightly better than when I first started out. Oh and for the photos, they are SO MUCH more better than when I first started out. Every now and then I'll just go through some of my old blog posts just for the lols and some of them make me cringe and they've had to be deleted because they were so bad but some of them I keep up because I think it's nice to see how much has changed since the beginning.

To summaries this blog post quickly; I've had my blog for four years now and I still love blogging. I don't see it as a chore (well maybe some days I do but that's only like 5% of the time) I still love coming up with blog posts and editing photos and then hitting the publish button. I'm also not the same person I was four years ago and I imagine a lot of people change over four years. Change normally scares me and I like sticking to a routine that I'm familiar with but sometimes change is for the best - as scary as it sounds. I'm very happy and grateful that I'm not the person I was four years ago and in some ways I guess you could say that I'm proud to say that I'm not the same person I was four years ago. Don't get me wrong, I still have down days were I feel like I have no control over anything but those aren't a patch on what I felt four years ago.

Another thing that I'm happy and grateful for is the people that follow my blog! I still get excited when I see that someone new has followed my blog or that someone has left a comment.I love it and I probably always will. So thank you, to anyone and everyone that follows my blog - I mean it.
