ALBUM OF THE MONTH | Divide

Tuesday, 14 March 2017

I know it's only March but I feel like this is going to be the album of the year

I'm sure everyone heard a few weeks ago that Ed dropped his third album after being away for a year. I'll be the first to admit that I was in desperate need of some new Sheeran music, there's only so much you can listen to an album without wanting to hear more music. I thought I would do an 'album of the month' post dedicated to Divide because let me tell you, it's an album you don't want to miss out on.

Ed Sheeran is an artist that I've been supporting for a good few years now and I'll let you in on a secret. I wasn't really that keen on him to begin with. Well not so much him but the first song I heard from him was The A Team and I just didn't get on with it. It took a long time for it to grow on me but the other songs from the + album I just fell in love with as soon as I heard it. Also, if you haven't heard the + album than it's another one I recommend listening to oh and his X album as well.

Eraser
Castle On The Hill
Dive
Shape Of You
Perfect
Galway Girl
Happier
New Man
Hearts Don't Break Around Here
What Do I Know?
How Would You Feel (Paean)
Supermarket Flowers

Above is the track list from the album (sadly I don't have the deluxe album) and like always I've highlighted the songs that stuck out to me. Of course, I love all these songs but the ones that are highlighted are the ones that have been on a loop in my head for the past few days. If I had to recommend three songs it would have to be: Galway Girl, New Man and What Do I Know? Seriosuly these songs are in my head all day every day - especially What Do I Know, it just keeps going round and round and round. I've even overheard my mum singing it!

Overall I love this album and it's been on repeat for a while now. Listening to album is making me so excited for when I go see him in April but knowing me I'll listen to them so much that by the time I go see him I'll be sick of his songs, ha.
