View from the Cardiff castle - 10.01.17

It's February!! The best month of the year ;)

Watching: T2. As I type this post, I'm currently watching Ant Man but I'm like twenty minutes in so I'm not really sure how I feel about this yet. However I want to talk about a film that I saw at the cinema recently, not the last film I saw which was the latest Star Wars and I'll have to admit I was bored for the majority of the film but the last hour was okay. Now, I want to talk about the film I saw before that: T2 - Trainspotting 2. Oh. My. Gosh. IT WAS INCREDIBLE. I loved Trainspotting, there was just something about it that I loved and I can't really put my finger on it. Trainspotting is just one of those films that you have to watch in your life time (although, you've gotta be 18 and over to watch, there is a lot of drug use in it. Think of Skins but ten times worse.) Anyway. Trainspotting 2 was incredible and I cannot wait till it comes out on DVD. Parts of the film made me laugh and other parts hit home quite hard and other parts made me want to tear up a little bit. If you have seen it, then it's the part with Tommy that made me want to cry a little. I would say it's the best film that I've seen this year but we're only 2 months in to 2017!

Reading: He's a stud, she's a slut and 49 other double standards every woman should know by Jessica Valenti. Aaahhhh, I was interested in reading this book when I was around 18/19 whilst I was doing my EPQ but after doing that I completely forgot about it. A few weeks ago I was searching on Amazon and I found this book so I decided to buy it as I was still curious to read more of it. It is a good book and is a proper eye opener to a lot of double standards women face on a daily basis.

Smelling: Fairy Dust by Lily Flame. Yep, still the same candle from last month. It was running low so I decided to burn less often as I wanted to keep it for as long as I could.

Listening: If I'm honest, there aren't really songs that I've been loving this month, apart from Ed Sheeran's new songs.

Excited for: My birthday! By the time this post goes live I'll be twenty two! Being twenty one was amazing and I had a brilliant time and wouldn't do anything differently. I'm excited to be twenty two and see what life has in store for me at that age,
